Simply put, high quality essential oil is not cheap. If you pay rock bottom prices for essential oil or if the bargain seems too good to be true, there is probably a reason. This does not necessarily mean that the most expensive oil is the best, but extremely inexpensive essential oil may signify poor quality.

Quality generally refers to the purity of the oil. The oil should be 100% pure and unadulterated. Impure essential oil could potentially irritate the skin and have other adverse side effects, plus the ensuing therapeutic benefits will be compromised.

An essential oil supplier should guarantee its product. See if they will provide samples, or at the very least, verify the oils quality before you buy. Furthermore, always conduct a price and quality comparison before settling on one essential oil supplier.
