Toothpaste, breath mints and mouthwash are just a few common products consumed daily by the American public. Its almost frightening to imagine what our lives might be like without mint product. Pretty stinky.
Even cinnamon cannot compare with the presence of mint in breath freshening products. The great majority of these goods incorporate peppermint or spearmint because of their natural ability to banish bad breath. Mint also produces a cool, sweet, refreshing taste and smell that pleases nearly everyone.

Mint has also infiltrated products outside of the breath freshening realm. What was once considered only as a flavor is now being applied to the skin. With the rise of aromatherapy, peppermint has become a staple in foot and body lotions for its energizing scent. It is also effective at relieving aches and pains. Many sports rubs and topical arthritis treatments contain menthol, which is derived from mint leaves.
Most mint products incorporate essential oil distilled from the peppermint or spearmint plant. Mint essential oil is also sold by itself, primarily for aromatherapy purposes. However, if you are not familiar with how to use the oil and the necessary precautions you must take when using it, you should opt to stick with one of the abundant pre-made mint product offerings available.
